Principal’s welcome address

It is with pleasure that I welcome you to Alimos Covenant Schools, and indeed, it is a privilege to do so.

At Alimos Covenant Schools, we are positioned to provide a process of physical, social, emotional and cognitive culture, whereby every child’s personality develops to the fullest; this is predicated upon unparalleled teaching and learning processes, deployment of world-class curriculum and far-reaching attention to special needs and exceptionality.

Our pedagogical facility is a reference in considering a formative factor for children’s and young people’s development in intellectual learning and in socialization; we maximize the achievement of beneficial goals for our pupils and students.

At Alimos Covenant Schools, we set our pupils and students on good pedestal for future educational pursuits and job opportunities through enviable academic development, entrepreneurial training and vocational aptitude cultivation, which we have blended together by judiciously using academic engaged time and routines of dynamic co-curricular/ and extracurricular activities.

We have a positive ethos that values each member of the school community as well as our host community; this is with the aid of our values – Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Teamwork, Ambition and Honesty – geared towards producing future leaders and worthy ambassadors.

In developing a more effective school, we amount to more than sum of our parts by engaging in periodic staff training (seminars/workshops…), use of seasoned consultants and contemporary Organisational Development strategies, where all parties share the endeavor and have ownership of the outcomes.

As a progressive school, in our endeavor of behaviour modification and personality development of our pupils and students, we apply well researched and proven child handling strategies like time-out technique, defining behavior, use of reinforcements and their schedules as well as teaching acceptable behavior.

Our team of teachers does not undermine the nurturance approach required for the emotional and academic adjustment of physically, socially,  and intellectually challenged children, actualized through the various contemporary education programmes that we have.
